Memorial Foundation

St. Luke’s Memorial Foundation was established many years ago by St. Luke’s Church as an organization to receive and manage endowment money given for memorial or special purposes. St. Luke’s Church members are also members of the Foundation. At the annual parish meeting in January of each year, the members elect the Foundation Trustees for staggered 3-year terms (4 are elected each year). Trustee meetings are held quarterly, the 4th Thursday of Feb, May, Aug, and Nov. The Trustees monitor the Foundation’s investments and decide on grants of the income. Any parish member is eligible to serve on the Board, and anyone interested in serving should speak to the Rector or to any Foundation Trustee. — James W. Thompson, Past President, Memorial Foundation

Episcopal Relief and Development

Episcopal Relief and Development Fund is a unique way of raising money and awareness of our blessings. We take for granted indoor plumbing, electricity and the many aspects of our lives that are not shared by countless people around the world. Each day we are asked to put a nickel, dime or quarter in the box for such things such as the number of heat registers, light bulbs or bathrooms in our homes, reminding us that many do not share these same necessities. The money raised is used to send aid in this country and around the world in response to a variety of natural disasters. Be prepared to have your eyes opened. Annually, St. Luke’s parishioners raise money for the ERD. Find coupon books and ERD boxes in the back of the church.

What are you thankful for today?

United Thank Offering boxes will be available at services. You are invited to “count your blessings.” Deposit coins into the box in thanksgiving for large and small daily gifts from God that brighten your life and the lives of those around you. Your prayers and offerings have built churches and schools, fed the hungry, clothed the poor, provided shelter for the homeless and care for those with disabilities in the United States and other countries. The boxes are usually be collected in September so that your
offering can be combined with those of other Montana parishes and presented at the convention in Polson.
